The Rechtswinkel Rotterdam celebrated its 50th anniversary earlier this year. Between 1991 and 1996 I - Julien Luscuere - was active as a student volunteer, a period that has been decisive for my motivations and professional development. When we heard that the Rechtswinkel had been homeless for a few years because the Erasmus University Rotterdam no longer wanted to offer space, we cleared a room where the students can now run their telephone service free of charge.
Onsbank has also found a place in our office. Every Thurday they hold their meetings with their client in our office, of course at no cost. Before the corona crisis, 400,000 young people in the Netherlands were already living with serious debts (NJI, April 2020). ONSbank wants to help as many young people as possible towards a debt-free future. The ONSbank Foundation program is free for young people.
